Role: Engineering Tech Lead
Salary: Up to £110k
Description: As an Engineering Tech Lead, you'll be a hands-on contributor and team leader, collaborating closely with Product and Design on diverse product challenges. Your responsibilities include:
- Addressing various complex problems such as multi-user live editing support and efficient data storage for structured document history review.
- Leading by example through hands-on coding to maintain a high-quality, readable codebase.
- Guiding a team of 3 to 4 engineers, ensuring best-in-class delivery standards and fostering technical growth.
- Collaborating with the Engineering Manager to shape team processes and automate quality into all aspects of our work.
- Assisting other developers in task delivery and personal development while embodying our team culture.
Requirements:
- Experience leading full-stack projects with a preference for frontend expertise (React) alongside backend skills (Modern Java).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS with a focus on code architecture.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to address business and product challenges.
- Engineering mindset with a strong product focus and willingness to learn backend development.
- Familiarity with building interactive SPAs and handling complex data structures.
