Salesforce Technical Architect – Hybrid in New York 3 days a week – Salary circa $180k – Financial Services
We are seeking a Technical Architect experienced in Salesforce solutions to join a financial services company in Manhattan.. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing IT architecture solutions that address business challenges, adhering to enterprise architecture standards. Your focus will be on utilizing Salesforce products to meet the organization’s needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research and design to develop hardware and software interfaces that form cohesive systems.
- Define system requirements for complex systems and analyze existing systems.
- Specify system architecture, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Develop customized solutions using Apex, Lightning Components, LWC, Lightning Aura, Visualforce, AngularJS, React, AJAX, and other relevant technologies.
- Lead technical design sessions and create technical design documents.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
- Demonstrate technical leadership by establishing best practices in integration, application development, deployment, and testing.
- Manage technical scope and client expectations.
- Design and implement integrations between applications and other systems as needed.
- Provide expert-level assistance to developers for technical issues.
Qualifications
- Specialized knowledge of the business, marketplace, and clients.
- Ability to provide expert advice and serve as a best practice/quality resource.
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce platform functionality, Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs, and SQL.
- Capacity to quickly learn new technical skills within the SFDC platform and related technologies.
- Proficiency in writing and consuming web services.
- Understanding of mobile application development (hybrid, native iOS/Android).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology and participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical role; prior experience as an architect or senior developer preferred.
- Experience with data migrations to Salesforce from third-party systems is a plus.
- Background in designing or building Salesforce integrations with third-party applications is desirable.
- Preferably, experience with Salesforce implementation in the Financial Services vertical, particularly in Investment Banking or Equities/Research.
- Preferred 6+ years of experience with Salesforce.com architecture and APIs, and 3+ years of experience with Salesforce implementation in the Financial Services vertical.
Licenses & Credentials
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI) or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PDII) or equivalent experience.
