My client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join their team. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and communicating a cohesive technical and architectural vision for their data-centric requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that systems and solutions are designed and developed to meet business needs effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the needs, constraints, and interactions of system users, business processes, and the operating environment to design solutions with customer and stakeholder satisfaction in mind.
- Stay abreast of technology trends and innovations, explore technical alternatives, and drive optimal technology decision-making to ensure feasibility and sustainability of solutions.
- Design and evolve data warehouse and data management tools, interfaces, and applications, and document design elements using appropriate tools.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among solution builders, suppliers, and stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage non-functional requirements such as security, compliance, and reporting, ensuring alignment with governance directives.
- Work with solution builders to define and prioritize enablers for new exploration work and technical debt reduction.
- Champion continuous delivery practices in accordance with agile methodologies and ensure proper backlog management.
- Maintain the architectural runway to facilitate the evolution and improvement of the current architecture and provide transparency for stakeholders.
- Evaluate and select suppliers, track technology innovations, and align supplier output with delivery objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT data architecture.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in data design, analysis, and management.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following IT knowledge areas: CRM, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, or Telephony/Omnichannel, with a focus on functional and technical analysis and data architecture.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to serve the needs of customers and business partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analytical and design thinking skills.
- Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe.
- Experience in architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data warehouse and data management tools, interfaces, and applications.
- Strong understanding and commitment to data governance principles.
