Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and autonomous individual to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support for our platform, working independently and flexibly to manage operations, particularly considering the crossover with Australian time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently troubleshoot technical issues related to our transport and logistics platform.
  • Provide timely and effective support to clients, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
  • Collaborate with the QA lead and other team members to address bugs and improve platform performance.
  • Manage crossover with Australian time zones, ensuring seamless communication and support.
  • Utilize UNIX (Linux, *NIX) and Windows expertise to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain Perl and shell scripts as needed for automation and customization.
  • Utilize knowledge of regular expressions (Regex) and relational databases for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Work with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Containers, and Azure Psql.
  • Manage containerized technologies such as Docker and virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical support roles, preferably in a software or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in UNIX (Linux, *NIX) and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl and shell.
  • Familiarity with regular expressions (Regex) and relational databases.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of containerized technologies, including Docker.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, with flexibility to manage Australian time zone crossover.
